“ TACO TUESDAY or SOMETHING ELSE for DINNER" Nobody wanted to cook, prepare, thaw out or order dinner to be delivered last night so, since one has to eat, we decided to go out for dinner - and it's Tuesday - so - at our house that means 'TACOS'. Rosa's Cafe has the Best TACO Deal around on Tuesdays. Three TACOS of choice with Refried Beans, Rice, Salad for only $6.59. That's One Great Deal - and their TACOS are filled to the top, including Cheese, which you don't find at other TACO places. So - Off We Went - When we arrived their parking lot was almost packed tight with several vehicles in line at the Drive-Thru. Went inside and just about every table/booth was taken - lots of people here. Now, here is the twist on what I started off with. You think we would order TACOS because that's what I stated. Well, we didn't. Just a little tease there, but they are really good TACOS. We are going all out this time and ordering their "Beef & Chicken Fajita Plate" (2 of them); Rosa's signature plate featuring Tender Marinated Beef & Chicken Tenders grilled over Mesquite Wood and served with Bell Peppers & Onions, Mexican Rice, your choice of Refried or Black Beans (chose Refried), and Three Freshly Made Puffy Flour Tortillas. Also includes a Grilled Jalapeno Pepper, Guacamole, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce & Tomato Garnish and Sour Cream. Also ordered a side of Mexican Rice because it's that good. We also are having a couple of drinks, but not Margaritas - we are still recovering from that darn bug that's going around. Order is placed and it does not take them long to fill any order. My Wife grabbed a booth and I went for the Salsa Bar and loaded up with Red Spicy Salsa and my favorite - Green Salsa. Our number appeared on the screen above and this tray is filled from end to end with steaming-liciousness - love that aroma. This is also a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness - and a lot of it on each platter - and we have Two of them. They say 'plate' but there is so much food here, it's served on a 'platter'. Unwrapped those Fresh Puffy Tortillas and filled it up with lots of goodies - and it's HUGE. My first one was Beef Fajitas and the Beef is Very Tastylicious with lots of Flavor. Second one was the Chicken Fajita and it's Very Juicylicious and also Flavorful. My third one was a Combo of each and this makes a Very Tasty HUGE Taco or one Fat Burrito that you can't completely enclose. The Guac is fresh and really Guacklyflavorful. The Refried Beans are Tasty and that Mexican Rice is the way it should be - that's some really good stuff. The Grilled Jalapeno Pepper is not only HUGE but really HOTTT and Tasty. Naturally we did not eat all of this and took some home, like most of one platter. They serve the Guac, Sour Cream and Lettuce in a Tortilla Bowl that we broke up and added Honey. Rosa's has lots of bottles of Honey around for you to add to whatever you want. This is like eating Dessert - it's really good. While we were enjoying our Dinner, lots and lots of people came in to pick-up their orders. Rosa's is always really busy, especially on a Tuesday. I think have the town comes here on Tuesdays. There is enough food on these Fajita Platters to share, but it's always nice to take some home for leftoverliciousness. Check out a Rosa's near you - They offer Deliciousness every day from Breakfast on through the evening - and also some Really Tasty Frozen Margaritas - (next time). They have several locations all around Texas - (mainly, the Dallas-Ft Worth area and Two of them in San Angelo. (we are soooooo lucky) TACOS are good any day of the week - Go and Enjoy - ”
“ The service has been the best to us, but the sodas suck and the food will rarely just be so soggy. But the other thing is that the whole place can either be really clean or it can be just fucking dirty as hell. 8.3/10 Forgot to say they don't have the tortilla simples anymore and the food is really expense ”
“ I'm from out of state and came in for the first time today. I had the fajita breakfast plate and it was all super good. They have a cool condiments bar, jalapeños, salsas and such for your food. That chili de arbol sauce hit the spot, made my head sweat. The place was very clean, modern and the staff was very friendly. I come to town twice a year for a week at a time, I'll definitely be back many times. Well done Rosa staff! ”
“ We stumbled upon this restaurant from an earlier visit and the tortillas had us hooked. We have eaten here several times for breakfast. There migas tacos have a great flavor and are my preferred breakfast option. I did enjoy the chorizo-bean taco for breakfast as well. The chorizo added a hint of spice and was well done. We always pick up a package of flour tortillas. They are slightly thicker than most tortillas we buy in the store and they have a wonderful bread-y flavor. Tacos / burritos are all really good here. At other fast food places the burritos tend to be bigger than the tacos, but here they are one and the same in size (taco sized). ”
“ 3.5 Stars Rounded Up For the Dog Lovers: Looking for a dog-friendly restaurant in San Angelo, I found Rosa's Cafe listed on Bring Fido. Rosa's has a covered and uncovered patio where the pups are welcomed. If you have a service dog, you and your pup can eat inside (according to the manager,...plus it's the law for service dogs). No service dog with me, so off to the patio, we went. The Food: It's ok. I heard lots of people love the food at Rosa's Cafe but I feel like it's Americanized or something. I had the tamale plate which wasn't bad, but it reminded me of the canned Hormel tamales and is just a couple notches better. Anyhow, if you like/love one Rosa's Cafe at another location, you will like/love this one. Same food. Drive Thru & Parking: There is a drive through too, super convenient if you don't want to leave your dog in the car as you order. There is ample parking around the restaurant but lots of traffic flow all around. I recommend parking at the back with the doggies to avoid being in the way. Also, lots of grass back there to make sure they can take of business before getting back on the road. Overall: I'm glad I was able to eat here will my furbaby and family. It is along a noisy street but we still had good conversation even though we occasionally yelled at each other outside on the patio, everyone was content with their food, and my dog was able to relax with us until he fell asleep. Woof-ing a-okay! ”
